Remarkably, it was shown that CD82 (known also as KAI1) showed increased expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma but decreased in anaplastic carcinoma [64], which was also confirmed in our study (Figure 4d shows the suppression of CD82 in the 8505c cell line which is derived from anaplastic thyroid carcinoma). The gene discussed is CD82; the disease is undifferentiated carcinoma.
