When comparing ADAMTS-4 expression between CKD subgroups (CKD 1–2 vs. CKD 3–5) within NKB or TXCI, significant difference was found only in PTC area of NKB group (CKD 1–2 vs. CKD 3–5; 5.3% vs. 47.4%; p = 0.001) and was also marginally significant in INT (NKB-CKD 1–2 vs. NKB-CKD 3–5; 15.8% vs. 42.1%, respectively; p = 0.069), both being higher in advanced stage of CKD (CKD 3–5). Here, ADAMTS4 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
