Based on the overall findings, it is suggested that HNF4A is one of the master regulators of lipid and cholesterol homeostasis, and the disruption of the function of HNF1A caused by mutations may trigger liver cancer development and progression due to the disruption of lipid and cholesterol homeostasis as well as key liver functions such as ammonia and glycoprotein homeostasis.
