We found a significant increase in the OxS markers TBARS (p = 0.031) and HIF-1 α (p = 0.01) (Figure 4A,B) and anti-oxidant CAT (gene, p = 0.039; enzymatic activity, p > 0.05) and SOD (gene, p = 0.016; enzymatic activity, p = 0.006) (Figure 4C–F) in the COVID-19 women compared to the CTRL group. The gene discussed is SOD1; the disease is COVID-19.
