Among the ion channels identified in association with EMT-related genes and tumor/ metastatic states of breast cancer, five ion channels—CACNA1B (HR: 1.14, p(HR): 0.001), ANO6 (HR: 1.54, p(HR): 0.004), TRPV3 (HR: 1.11, p(HR): 0.03), VDAC1 (HR: 2.10, p(HR): 0.0001) and VDAC2 (HR: 1.5, p(HR): 0.017) were found to be prognostically significant (Figure 8).
