The combination of azoxymethane (AOM) and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) with ASA inhibited AOM/DSS-induced enrichment of H3K27ac in the promoters of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin 6 (IL-6) that corresponded to the dramatic suppression of the messenger RNA and protein levels. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and infectious otitis media.
