Besides TP53, the top ten list of mutated cancer associated genes in bladder cancer includes epigenetic regulators KMT2D, KDM6A, ARID1A, KMT2C and EP300, the gene encoding for the catalytic sub-unit alpha of kinase PI3K, PIK3CA, the tumor suppressor RB, the genes encoding for FAT4 cadherin, and for the FGFR3 receptor tyrosine kinase. Here, FAT4 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
