In the liver of Atg7ΔHepFgf21−/− mice, the percentage of Ki67+ proliferating cells was further significantly increased compared to Atg7ΔHepFgf21+/+ mice in both non-tumorous and tumorous part (Figure 2A), which could contribute to the increased size of hepatoma in the liver of Atg7ΔHepFgf21−/− mice compared to Atg7ΔHepFgf21+/+ mice.
