In a study of 64 vitiligo patients and 64 controls (Shahmoradi et al., 2013), a case-control study immunoglobulin an (IG) anti endodermal antibody and IgA anti glutaminase antibody, a diagnostic marker for CD, were tested, and two women with vitiligo were found to be seropositive. The gene discussed is GLS; the disease is vitiligo.
