As expected, under the influence of the Lewis lung cancer cells (in co-culture or in conditioned culture medium), mouse platelets, either ND-DOX-loaded or not, exhibited characteristic signs of activation including aggregation (Figure 4(A–C)), formation of pseudopodia (Figure 4(B)), and increased surface presence of P-selectin (Figure 4(D,E)).
