ATP13A2 and Parkinson disease: We have previously shown that BE(2)‐M17 neuroblastoma cells are suitable neuronal cell lines that internalize aNPs into lysosomes through the endocytic pathway (Bourdenx et al., 2016) and that these aNPs can re‐acidify defective lysosomes to basal levels and rescue impaired lysosomal function in BE (2)‐M17 cells stably depleted of lysosomal type 5 P‐type ATPase (ATP13A2), a PD cellular model (Bourdenx et al., 2016; Prevot et al., 2018).
