The Cancer Genome Atlas performed molecular profiling of tissue from 230 lung adenocarcinomas and found the prevalence of targetable mutations as follows: EGFR (11.3%), ALK (1.3%), ROS1 (1.7%), MET (4.3%), RET (0.9%), BRAF (7.0%), and ERBB2/HER2 (1.7%) (2). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and lung adenocarcinoma.
