While our groups did not differ in mean tau SUVR burden or inferred Braak stage distribution (Fig. 3 and Supplementary Fig. 2), they did separate in terms of cognitive profiles, progression, and copathology-associated markers, suggesting that non-AD pathologies contribute to the dissociation of T and NM and, thus, to the cognitive trajectory beyond Braak stage.
