IL-17 as the proinflammatory cytokine secreted by Th17 cells, IL-17 binds to its receptor, can induces the activation of NF-κB signaling [23], and the activated NF-κB signaling further up-regulates the NLRP3 inflammasome response [24], while blocking NLRP3 inflammasome reduces liver inflammation and fibrosis in experimental liver disease model in mice [25]. Here, NLRP3 is linked to inflammatory response.
