GHRL and manic or hypomanic episode: The level of acylated ghrelin was higher in patients who experienced more manic episodes (r = 0.674, p = 0.001) and hospitalizations (r = 0.462, p = 0.035) and lower with increasing weight (r = − 0.339, p = 0.018) and BMI (r = − 0.326, p = 0.024).
