Double immunofluorescence staining showed that intravascular fibrin/fibrinogen deposition (Figure 4A) and platelet accumulation (Figure 4B) were rarely detected in sham-operated rats and at a relatively low level detected in the saline-treated stroke animals, possibly because of low cerebral perfusion in downstream microvessels without tPA thrombolysis in this embolic stroke model. This evidence concerns the gene PLAT and stroke disorder.
