Enteral supplementation with MFGM alleviated SBS-associated liver injury, reflected by the lower levels of hepatic steatosis, inflammatory infiltration and ballooning, which might be related to the reduced endotoxin translocation to a certain extent and the inhibition of the activation of both autophagy and NLRP3 inflammasome pathways. This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and fatty liver disease.
