The result exhibited that disruption of METTL14 in both the two ccRCC cells led to a significant increase in N-cadherin, ZEB1 and Vimentin levels as well as a decrease in E-cadherin level, which could be reversed by silencing ITGB4 expression (Fig. 8a, b, Additional file 8: Fig. S4a, b). The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
