The aim of our current study is to characterize in vitro and in vivo metabolic changes induced by the expression of the IDH mutation in U87 human derived HGG cell lines in the rat orthograft model, by using multiparametric and multitracer PET imaging specific for glycolytic metabolism ([18F]FDG), amino-acid metabolism ([18F]FDopa) and tumor inflammation ([18F]DPA-714) and corroborating this data with ex vivo immunological analyses. The gene discussed is IDH1; the disease is neoplasm.
