Thus, this helped us to explain the positive correlation result between the duration of the disease and the proportion of CD4 + and CD8 + T-cells in the peripheral blood of our studied population, also explained why alopecia totalis and universalis with the longest disease duration associated with a higher proportion of CD4 + , CD8 + T-cells in the peripheral blood when compared to alopecia unilocularis. Here, CD4 is linked to alopecia totalis.
