Several previous studies have shown that CXCL8 which is a secreted protein functions with its receptors, CXCR1 and CXCR2, to promote the progression of some cancers, such as breast cancer (Yi et al., 2019), prostate cancer (Baci et al., 2019), lung cancer (He et al., 2019), and CRC (Liu et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and prostate carcinoma.
