As expected, the agonist LiCl significantly enhanced the activity of Wnt signaling induced by wild-type β-catenin with RAI2 transfected (P-value was 0.0007 and 0.0006 respectively in LoVo and HCT116 cells), While, the antagonist XAV939 significantly inhibited Wnt/β-catenin signaling activity in both LoVo (P=0.0027) and HCT116 (P=0.0004) cells, and the inhibitory effect was similar or even more significant in RAI2-transfected CRC cells (P-value was 0.0021 and 0.0005 respectively in LoVo and HCT116 cells) (Figure 2A). The gene discussed is RAI2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
