Conversely, FAP-positive tumour cells expressed significantly lower levels of genes encoding epithelial junction proteins (including CDH1, JUP, CTNN1A) epithelial differentiation markers, including several keratins (6B, 7, 17, 19, 23) and mucins (1, 3A, 4, 12), and chemokines (CXCL1-3, 5, 6) (Supplementary Fig. S4B and Supplementary Table S3). The gene discussed is CDH1; the disease is neoplasm.
