Moving to the possible clinical significance of these results, in particular, for the known association of AMA and PBC in rheumatic patients affected by SSc, we confirmed the elevated number of SSc patients with these autoAbs, 20/44 (45%) SSc (2 diffuse, 14 limited, and 4 sine scleroderma) patients, but we also identified PDC-positive patients with additional diagnosis, in particular, 12/44 (27%) PM/DM (4 DM, 8 PM) and 12/44 (27%) UCTD patients, whose main features are shown in Table 1. Here, PDC is linked to primary biliary cholangitis.
