Another of the most downregulated miRNAs in HIV+/TB+ individuals, miR-505-3p, reportedly negatively regulates the expression of chemokine receptors CCR3, CCR4, and CXCR1 (Escate et al., 2018), suggesting that decreased miR-505-3p levels could enhance immune cell migration and tissue invasion. This evidence concerns the gene CCR4 and tuberculosis.
