Several in vitro and in vivo studies have revealed the constitutive activation of NF-kB and its association with many types of cancers including breast, lung, colon, pancreas, head and neck, oesophagus as well as melanomas, lymphomas (Xiao et al., 2018), and its role has been associated with various tumour-favouring cellular processes including cancer cell proliferation, preventing apoptosis, and increasing a tumor’s angiogenic and metastatic potential (Park and Hong, 2016). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and neoplasm.
