After knocking down the expression of ITGA11, we found that Ser473 phosphorylated-AKT1/2/3 was significantly decreased instead of total AKT1/2/3 (Fig. 6d, e), indicating that ITGA11 promotes the malignant phenotypes of PCa by the activating of PI3K/AKT signaling. This evidence concerns the gene ITGA11 and posterior cortical atrophy.
