Interestingly, Cardiac Hypertrophy Signaling (including profibrotic signals AngII, TGFβ, and IGF1) and HIF1a signaling were predicted to be downregulated in KFs and upregulated in HFs and TFs, possibly inferring a better resilience of KFs to the kidney capsule environment. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and Hand-foot syndrome.
