Since the currently available human lobular breast cancer models do not show invasion in 3D Collagen-I matrices (our unpublished findings and [53]), and our data showing that mouse ILC invasion does not depend on LOX activity, it remains unclear if lysyl oxidases produced by cancer cells contribute to stiffening of the local ECM and subsequent single cell dissemination of human ILC. This evidence concerns the gene CCL27 and breast carcinoma.
