Furthermore, the results of Western blotting manifested that knockdown of SSRP1 could suppress the protein expressions of phosphorylated AKT (p-AKT) and B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2), but evidently promote Bax protein expression (Figure 3C & Figure 3D), indicating that silencing SSRP1 may inhibit GC cells from proliferating and promoting their apoptosis through the AKT signalling pathway.
