Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by absence of hormone receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) amplification, which constitutes 15–20% of breast cancers with the highest mortality among all breast cancer subtypes (Arroyo-Crespo et al., 2019; Kim et al., 2018). Here, ERBB2 is linked to triple-negative breast carcinoma.
