As expected, we observed that the expression levels at diagnosis of genes with a tumor suppressor function in AML (TET2, EZH2 and ASXL1) were low compared to normal bone marrow, whereas levels at diagnosis of genes with an oncogenic role (BCL2 and MYC) were higher in a series of 176 AML patients. This evidence concerns the gene TET2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
