ATG13 and ovarian carcinoma: Gan et al. found that circMUC16 had a higher expression level in ovarian cancer tissues than in healthy ovarian tissues, and its expression level was correlated with the stage and grade of ovarian cancer; the authors further demonstrated that circMUC16 promotes autophagy of epithelial ovarian cancer via interaction with ATG13 and miR-199a (Gan et al., 2020).
