We find dysregulated expression not only as previously reported for the Na + channels SCN2A and SCN3A and the K + channels KCNB1 and ATP1B1, but also for additional channel types not previously implicated in schizophrenia (e.g., SLC4A4, SLC32A1, SLC13A4, SLC1A4, SLC6A1, KCNK10, KCNH8, KCTD2). This evidence concerns the gene SCN2A and schizophrenia.
