Mechanistically, anti-miR-26b-5 mediates immunosuppression by regulating the secretion of tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-2 in CD4+ and CD8+ cells by targeting proviral integrations of moloney virus 2 (PIM2) in HCC (103). Here, IL6 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
