CD4 and type 1 diabetes mellitus: While the percentage of CM CD4+ T lymphocytes tended to increase with disease progression for the remitter ones—especially at 12 months after T1D onset in comparison to the diagnosis and the control group (P <0.001)—the percentage of this subpopulation tended to decrease at 12 months for non-remitter patients in comparison to the time-point of 8 months, where levels were also higher than those of the control group (P ≤0.05).
