As TSG-6 is significantly overexpressed in tumor tissues compared with paired normal or paratumor tissues (Figure 1G and 1H), and its upregulation was primarily observed in cancer cells (Figure 1H and S1C-S1D), the findings indicated that TSG-6 might act as an oncogenic marker in cancer cells associated with poor prognosis and tumor metastasis in CRC.
