The LIF/Stat3 axis induced a massive release of CXCLs from breast cancer cells into their surrounding microenvironment, which is responsible for the uptake of CXCLs by CAA from the microenvironment and the sustained activation of ERK1/2 and its downstream targets, such as NF-κB and Stat3. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and breast carcinoma.
