Oral administration of linalool to triple a transgenic mice model of Alzheimer's disease decreased P38 mitogen‐activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK), cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2), nitric oxide synthase 2 (NOS2), and interleukin 1 beta (IL‐1β) that resulted in anti‐inflammatory effects (Sabogal‐Guáqueta et al., 2016). Here, NOS2 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
