LPL and coronary artery disorder: This was further supported by the independent and additive beneficial effects on the lipoprotein profile, of the genetically-influenced lower TG via APOA5 on top of genetically-influenced lower TG via LPL. Therefore, our data suggests that pharmacological TG-lowering therapy via APOA5 may have additional beneficial effects on the lipoprotein profile and CAD risk on top of LPL-enhancement therapy as well as LDL-C-lowering therapy.
