Obesity is known to predispose to autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, and studies most often describe the Th-17 cells, IL-17A and IL-17E in the course of diseases such as bronchial asthma, obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory bowel disease and psoriasis [11,12,13,14,15,16]. Here, IL17A is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
