In a recent systematic review about the ergo-nutritional effects of caffeine in basketball [101], Sen-tan et al. highlight the influence of genetics (C-allele metabolizers or AA homozygotes) over specific outcomes (Abalakov jump test outputs and perceived muscle power) based on the CYP1A2 activity, and the main registered side effects (insomnia). The gene discussed is CYP1A2; the disease is insomnia measurement.
