The sputum culture was negative, and the HSV serum test revealed that HSV IgM level was elevated to 1.16 (reference value: ≤0.80) and IgG level at admission and at follow-up 21 days later was elevated to 28.1 and 60.0 respectively (reference value: ≤2.0); accordingly, the patient was diagnosed with HSV pneumonia. The gene discussed is CD40LG; the disease is susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
