The genetic association analysis evaluating the association between single NT-proBNP-associated SNPs and ischemic stroke and its three subtypes shows that neither of those SNPs have significant association with ischemic stroke and subtypes, whereas only rs198389 has a suggestive association with LAS (95% CI 0.017∼0.116, p = .008686, .05 > p > .005) (Table 2). Here, NPPB is linked to ischemic stroke.
