A significantly higher expression of CPT1A, but not CPT1B, was observed in the CD14+ monocytes of patients with RA than in those from the HCs (CPT1A, HCs:1.430 ± 0.081 vs. RA: 2.594 ± 0.112, P < 0.001; CPT1B, HCs: 0.949 ± 0.081 vs. RA: 0.878 ± 0.059, P = n.s.)(Figure 2A). This evidence concerns the gene CPT1B and rheumatoid arthritis.
