Inhibition of CPT1A activity in RA monocytes reduces C/EBPβ binding to the promoters of CLTA and CLTC. Our results clearly show that, in RA monocytes, activated FAO enhanced C/EBPβ binding to the promoters of CLTA and CLTC, promoting their transcription and subsequently enhancing clathrin-mediated endocytosis.
