PTFV1 (HR per 1,000 μV* ms 1.04, 95% CI 1.001–1.08), NT-proBNP (HR per doubling of NT-proBNP 1.09, 95% CI 1.03–1.16), and incident AF (HR 2.04, 95% CI 1.67–2.48) were each independently associated with incident ischemic stroke, but not the left atrial diameter (>4.3 cm in women, >4.7 cm in men).
