This, in turn, induces the activation of transcription factors, namely, the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer (NF-kB), signal transducer, and activator of transcription factor 3 (STAT-3), signal transducer and activator of transcription factor 5 (STAT-5), and hypoxia inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1a), which activates signaling pathways progressing towards more aggressive breast cancer, and increasing the likelihood of metastasis [36,37]. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and breast carcinoma.
