In this analysis, 88 up-regulated proteins (including APOC3, CCL2, CCL17, CXCL8, CXCL10, FAS, IL-6, IL-21, IL-32, LEP, PRL, TNF, VEGFA, VIM) and 37 down-regulated proteins (including APOL1, APOL6, C1R, C7, C8A, CFB, CFH, CFHR5, PLG, VTN) were characterized as distinctive of SARS-CoV-2 infection, reflecting a prevalent inflammation and immune response in early COVID-19. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and COVID-19.
