FABP7 and neoplasm: In our present study, the predominantly cytoplasmic distribution of FABP7 and its impairment on β-catenin degradation, which occurs in cytoplasm, indicate not only a cytoplasmic function of FABP7 in tumor metastasis, but also that the cytoplasmic levels of FABP7 may be important for predicting β-catenin stabilization, canonical Wnt signaling activation, aggressiveness, and prognosis of NSCLC.
