GOLGA2 and AL amyloidosis: Furthermore, inducing degradation-dependent dispersal of the Golgi via treatment with monensin, a Golgi-pH neutralizing ionophore, or lithocholylglycine (LCG), an inhibitor of sialylation, were shown to induce cell death of multiple myeloma cells in a manner that was dependent on Golgi-associated degradation of the Golgi structural protein GM130 [32].
